Tuesday 25 August 10-1pm
In Wildwood Stitch, Pauline will guide you through a creative journey that combines block printing with the beauty of hand embroidery. The designs for this workshop are pre-printed onto colourful woven cottons, ready for you to choose your background and begin stitching. Pauline will also demonstrate the block-printing process so you can explore it at home if you'd like.
Using her extensive collection of hand-dyed wool yarns, you'll learn a range of stitches including backstitch, lazy daisy, French knots, chain stitch, and fly stitch. With guidance on colour and texture, you'll be encouraged to experiment and bring your chosen design to life with your own creative flair.
By the end of the session, you'll have a unique embroidered piece that can be framed as a work of art or transformed into a practical item such as a needle case, pocket, or decorative insert.
This workshop offers a morning of mindful making, colour play, and gentle creativity – the perfect way to recharge while learning new embroidery skills in a supportive studio environment.
